Dr. Sangiwe Moyo is a public health specialist with over 16 years of experience in managing reproductive health and infectious disease programs across multiple countries in Africa.

His previous roles include Deputy Director of the multi-country Unitaid-funded STAR HIV Self-Testing Initiative project at Population Services International (PSI) and Chief Innovations Officer at Africa Health Placements, where he managed donor relations with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Dr. Moyo has also engaged in project management at the Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Institute, focusing on enhancing the uptake of sexual and reproductive health services among adolescents, men, and key populations.

Dr. Moyo has collaborated with a range of stakeholders, including Ministries of Health, CDC, USAID, Unitaid, the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and international non-governmental organizations. He has led multidisciplinary teams in public health initiatives across various countries.

His contributions to outbreak and pandemic preparedness include participation in COVID-19 and HPV vaccination uptake projects. He recently completed a course from WHO on managing the MPOX disease.

Dr. Moyo holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Nursing Science, a Master of Business Administration, and a PhD in Public Health. He serves as an adjunct lecturer for Master of Public Health students at the Foundation for Professional Development in Pretoria, South Africa, and the University of Zimbabwe.
